The results showed that the brains of mice from mothers who eat junk food are less sensitive to changes in the chemical substances due to the high fat content of sweet foods than other mice.

Gerald Weissmann, MD, editor of The FASEB Journal, said that if the findings of the study showed that "junk food addiction is a real addiction", the same as drug addiction.
